Ridgewood YMCA Breakers

Practice Groups

Nine groups, from first strokes to high-performance training

Each practice group is designed to prepare swimmers for the longest Freestyle event and Individual Medley event they will face in competition.

Training combines stroke work, aerobic development, and race preparation. The Breakers participate in YMCA dual meets and USA Swimming invitational meets. Summer swimming is emphasized as an important part of year-round development.
